Location

Basking sharks can be seen around the UK, but the best location is in Devon and Cornwall, on the most western part of the country. They appear in the spring when the plankton appears, and feed till as late as September. Some sharks make their way up the west coast, and can end up as far as Scotland. During the winter months they dissapear into the depths, and hibernate.  (Some say) Some sharks have been tracked, and have been seen in Canada and North America.
